What movers cost

45 €/hour for one, 90 €/hour for two. Two-hour minimum, prices include VAT. Billed by actual time — if the job finishes sooner, you pay less.

How movers differ from a moving service

Movers are a pair of hands: we lift, carry and load. You decide what goes where; we do the heavy part.

A moving service is broader: packing, dismantling, reassembly and arranging things in the new home. If you are moving from one flat to another, see the moving service page. If you just need muscle for one task, you are in the right place.

Without a lift, and heavy items

Carrying from an upper floor without a lift is not a problem, only slower. From the fourth floor it takes roughly twice as long as in a building with a lift. Tell us the floor and lift situation when booking so the estimate holds.

• A washing machine weighs 60–80 kg, a fridge-freezer 60–100 kg
• A three-seater sofa is 50–100 kg depending on the model
• Anything over 80 kg always needs two people
• Piano, safe, stone worktop: ask separately, these need specialist equipment

Carrying work does not qualify for the tax credit

We say this plainly because many companies do not. Under the Finnish Tax Administration's position, carrying and shifting belongings is not ordinary household work, so it does not qualify for kotitalousvähennys (ruling KVL 51/2000).

The credit does apply to work often ordered at the same time: cleaning, assembling new furniture, installing blinds and connecting appliances.

When to book two people

One worker is enough for light items, or when you are unloading alongside them. Two is always worth it when heavy furniture or stairs are involved.

Two workers cost twice as much per hour but usually finish in under half the time, because a heavy item never has to be set down along the way. In practice the total often comes out lower.
