What a move costs
45 €/hour for one worker, 90 €/hour for two. Two-hour minimum, prices include VAT. No evening or weekend surcharge.
You are billed for the time actually worked. The durations below are for two workers, with belongings already packed into boxes.

Moving itself gets no tax credit — but some of the work does
This is the most common misunderstanding. The Finnish Tax Administration is clear: moving work is not ordinary household work, so transport, carrying, packing and the dismantling and reassembly of old furniture do not qualify (ruling KVL 51/2000).
However, work carried out alongside a move does qualify in full.

What the credit is worth
For the 2026 tax year the credit is 35 % of the labour cost, up to 1 600 euros per person. An annual own-liability of 150 euros is deducted first.
The government has proposed raising this to 40 % and 2 100 euros for 2026–2027, retroactively from January. As of July 2026 the bill had not passed — check vero.fi for the current status.
Why the end of the month is the hardest time
Most Finnish tenancy agreements end on the last day of the month. Everyone moves at once: movers are booked, vans are gone, and building lifts are reserved from morning to evening.
If your schedule has any flexibility, mid-month is far easier to arrange. If it does not, book at least two weeks ahead — the last week of the month fills up first.

What to sort out before moving day
- Give notice to your landlord — one month by law, unless the lease says otherwise
- Book the lift from the property manager in both buildings, where booking applies
- Arrange parking for the van as close to the door as possible
- Measure doorways and stairwell turns if you have large furniture
- Dismantle the bed and large wardrobes in advance, or order dismantling from us
- Empty and defrost the fridge a day ahead
- File a change of address with Posti and the Digital and Population Data Services Agency
Lifts, stairs and narrow passages
A move without a lift is possible, just slower. Carrying from the fourth floor takes roughly twice as long as in a building with a lift. Tell us the floor and lift situation when booking so the estimate holds.
We bring protective blankets for furniture as standard, without being asked. If the housing company requires stairwell walls and the lift to be covered with cardboard, let us know and we will handle it.
Do you need a van?
We are not a transport company and do not own a truck. In practice this is solved one of two ways: either you rent a van and we handle everything else, or we help you find a suitable one.
A rental van in Riihimäki typically costs 60–120 euros a day depending on size. This often works out cheaper than a full-service moving firm, because you pay for the vehicle only for as long as you actually need it.

A one-bedroom flat or larger is best moved with two. One worker is enough for a small studio or for shifting a few large items. Tell us the size and floor and we will work it out together.
