Finnish uses two words that are easy to confuse. Loppusiivous is the cleaning of the flat you are leaving, and it is what the landlord judges when deciding on your deposit. Muuttosiivous is broader and often includes cleaning the new flat before anything is carried in. We do both, within the same day if the schedule allows. We bring the detergents and equipment with us.

What is the difference between muuttosiivous and loppusiivous?▾
Loppusiivous is the cleaning of the flat you are leaving; the landlord judges your deposit by it. Muuttosiivous is broader and often also covers the new flat before you move in. We do both.
How much does it cost?▾
Studio €135–180, one-bedroom €180–270, two-bedroom €270–360. The rate is €45/hour with one cleaner, and the work takes 3–8 hours depending on size. Prices include VAT and detergents.
Does it qualify for the household tax deduction?▾
Yes, for the labour. Note that the moving work itself — transport, carrying, packing — does not qualify, so ask for the cleaning to appear as its own line on the invoice.
When should the cleaning be done?▾
Once your belongings are out but before you hand over the keys. An empty flat can be cleaned faster and more thoroughly. In practice this means the evening of moving day or the next morning.
